Metal corrugated sheet
Corrugated sheet metal is a type of metal sheet commonly used in construction for various purposes thanks to its structural and resistance characteristics. Its shape is characterized by waving or ribs that cross the sheet metal, creating a “Freek”-shaped structure.
Some common uses of corrugated sheet metal in construction
Roofing – It is used as a material for covering roofs and sheds. The sheets are robust, corrosion resistant and can be easily installed, offering effective protection against the elements.
External cladding – It is also used as an external wall cladding, offering a strong and durable solution that can be used in both new builds and renovations.
Partition walls and internal walls – In some cases it is also used to create internal partition walls in industrial or commercial buildings due to its resistance and versatility.
Sandwich Panels – Corrugated sheet metal is often used as a component in sandwich panels, where it is coupled with insulating materials such as polystyrene or polyurethane to create thermally insulating panels for roofs and walls.
Structural uses – In certain contexts can be used for load-bearing structures, such as beams and columns, thanks to its ability to withstand structural loads.
Corrugated sheet metal is available in different shapes, thicknesses and materials, such as galvanized steel, aluminum or pre-painted steel, offering a range of options to suit the specific needs of a building project.
The characteristics of strength, light weight land ease of installation make corrugated sheet metal a popular choice in many construction sectors, providing reliable and cost-effective solutions for a wide range of applications.
