Obligatory rectangular in shape, the gates are made up of two posts 2.44 meters high each (8 feet in the British imperial system); at the top, they are joined horizontally by a 7.32 meter long crossbar (8 yards in the British imperial system).
Both the posts and the crossbar must be white and have the same width. Inside, the goal is covered with a net that holds the ball and makes the scoring of a goal evident.
