Drinking water fountain
Plan, elevation of a classic style cast iron fountain model, with three adjoining fountains and circular basins. Decorated with a geometric motif frieze.

The first water fountains in Rome to be put into operation were characterised by three elegant spouts in the shape of a dragon; today, for practicality, only one smooth-shaped spout remains. However, it is possible to admire one of the rare examples with three spouts in Via della Cordonata, near the Quirinale, or in Piazza della Rotonda, next to the Pantheon fountain.
