Kenroku-en Garden in Kanazawa
One of the three most beautiful Japanese gardens
Located in Ishikawa Prefecture, the Kenroku-en in Kanazawa is famous for being one of the most beautiful examples of Japanese gardens. In fact, in addition to its large size, it is characterised by the numerous shrub species and rich vegetation within it.
Like many of the green spaces in Japan, Kenroku-en is a well-kept park, where attention to detail is in perfect harmony with strict respect for the environment.
The spaces are characterised by orderly, sinuous internal paths interspersed with areas intended for resting, small artificial hills on which small temples are erected to recreate cosy spaces for prayer.
All landscaping solutions, fencing, containment systems and those used to protect shrub and flower species are totally sustainable.
The use of natural materials and systems that fully respect the environment is at the basis of every design choice concerning the garden.
Finally, created with the aim of representing places of peace and personal introspection, Japanese gardens, and specifically the Kenroku-en in Kanazawa, guarantee pleasant views of central bodies of water or of the surrounding landscape, thanks to which man has the possibility of rediscovering himself and his relationship with nature.
