The difference between pebbles and crushed stone mainly concerns dimensions and characteristics:

Pebbles
Pebbles are generally larger, ranging in size from 2 to 10 cm and have a rounded shape resulting from natural erosion.
They are often used for landscaping, in gardens, water courses or as drainage material.

Gravel
Crushed stone is smaller, usually less than 2 cm in size, and has more irregular shapes, being a crushed material. It is commonly used in construction work, as a base for paving, for road construction or for drainage.

In summary, the main distinction is in size and shape: cobbles are larger and more rounded, while crushed stone is smaller and more irregular.
