Pritzker 2021: Lacaton & Vassal
Alejandro Aravena, president of the jury of the 2021 Pritzker Prize, defined them as "creators of a respectful but frank approach towards the built environment". These are the two French architects Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal, who won the 2021 Pritzker Prize, one of the major architectural awards at an international level. Appreciated for their modus operandi based on the values of sustainability interpreted at 360°, their projects stand out for being measured on human needs and on very limited budgets.
